I'm Laila Kakande, founder of LKA Academy, and I'm passionate about helping students build confidence, enjoy learning, and reach their full academic potential.

My journey in education began as a volunteer tutor, where I spent two years supporting students from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, including those from disadvantaged communities. During that time, I saw firsthand how personalised guidance, encouragement, and the right learning approach can transform a student's confidence and academic success.

In 2023, I had the opportunity to teach English in Thailand, where I developed my cross-cultural communication skills and adapted my teaching methods to meet the needs of different learners. Today, I also serve as a School Governor at a primary school, helping shape strategic decisions that improve educational outcomes and create opportunities for young people to thrive.

Alongside my work in education, I've built a career in finance within an investment management firm, strengthening my analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. I bring all of these experiences together through LKA Academy to provide supportive, personalised tuition that empowers every student to achieve their best.
